Tunte Market: Local Produce For Local People

San Bartolomé or Tunte market is a great local affair San Bartolomé or Tunte market is a great local affair

Tunte or San Bartolome de Tirajana market is a local affair held in the hill town early every Sunday morning.

It's the most authentic of south Gran Canaria's markets as it's there for the locals rather than the guiris.

San Bartolome town is actually the capital of the Gran Canaria municipality that stretches from San Agustín to Pasito Blanco. It's a sleepy town that focuses on agriculture, wine and rural tourism. The market is small and ends early but is great for local cheese and produce. Combine it with a drive up to the cumbres for a full day out.
